He obtained his PhD. degree in the Theory of Politics in 2010 by successfully presenting his Thesis “Position of the State and New Security Dimensions at the beginning of the 21st Century.” In 2015 he reached the title of Associate Professor in International Relations at the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations, Matej Bel University, after a successful habilitation lecture on the topic: Model of the Future Security Cooperation of the Visegrad Group Countries. In 2009 he graduated the Course in National Security for Public Administration at the Armed Forces Academy of General M. R. Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia. He focuses on the issues of sector security of the state, devoting primary attention to the societal sector and the problem of identities. He also deals with the security theories, focusing on regional security mainly in Central Europe. He is an Editor in Chief of scientific journal Politické vedy (Political Sciences) – journal of political sciences, international relations, modern history and security studies. He is an author and co-author of several books: Bezpečnosť ako kategória (Security as a category), Security Policy of the Slovak Republic - Development, Cornerstone and Implications, Security and Strategic Culture of the Visegrad Group Countries. And he also published his papers in home and foreign journals and conference proceedings. He participated in many research, lecture stays and conferences at home and abroad: Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Belgium, Slovenia, France, Ukraine and other. Currently he is associated professor at the Department of Security Studies, Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovak Republic.
