ENERGY SECURITY OF THE EUROPEAN UNION AND ITS RELATIONS WITH IRAN
The current instability in Ukraine associated with the crisis in relations with the Russian Federation sparked between the Member States of the European Union fears about their own energy security. In this situation, the political leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran have repeatedly said that Iran is ready and able to deliver large amounts of EU natural gas. The main aim of this article is through the basic criteria of the EU actorness to analyze the external dimension of energy-security relations of the European Union against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
THE METHODS FOR PROBLEM SOLVING IN THE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC

In the paper the selected findings of the survey “Decision problems solving in the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic” are presented. The theoretical basis of the solved area is summarized – decision problems types, decision making process steps, purpose of the methods application and used methods of problems solving. Afterwards the methodology of the realized questionnaire survey, semi-structured interviews and the results revealed are described. In the end, the recommendations for the application of the methods of problems solving in the department of the defence of CR are defined by the authors.

Concepts and Practice of Military Operations On Urban Terrain
In discussing military operations on urbanized terrain, the objective of this article is two-fold. First, it reviews the existing literature and offers a conceptual framework for analysis of non-combatants’ security in urban warfare. In the context of increasing urbanization and existing demographic trends, urban military operations entail a set of tactical, operational and strategic challenges. This is especially true regarding the issue of non-combatants. Thus, the second key objective of this article is to analyze security of civilians as addressed in current urban military doctrines.

Conflict over the international status of Western Sahara between Morocco and Polisario remains after decades still on the agenda of the UN bodies. It is evident, that after almost forty years of conflict and with help of international mediation the actors of the conflict are not closer to reconcilement in the near future. The aim of this text is to analyze the development of the conflict over the international status of Western Sahara from the perspectives of its dynamics, that concluded in a stalemate, and international mediation, which failed to bring a solution and overcome the deadlock.
