Born in 1953. He graduated from VVTŠ Liptovský Mikuláš (1979), postgraduate studies at VA Brno (1983–1986). Scientific degree PhD. – VA Liptovský Mikuláš (1998), habilitated at the University of Žilina – specialization Civil Security (2004). Since 2005 an associate professor at the Academy of Armed Forces in Liptovský Mikuláš. He deals with the field of security science, security management and theory of conflicts. He is a scientific secretary of the European Association for Security, and a member-academician of the International Academy of Life Protection.
