Jaroslav NAĎ
Jaroslav Naď (1981) graduated in political science at the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. Also graduated at various specialized courses in international security and defence including High-Level Course at the European Security and Defence College; Program on Advanced Security Studies at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies and NATO Senior officers course at the NATO School. Between years 2000-2004 worked for non-governmental organizations the Euro-Atlantic Center and the Slovak Foreign Policy Association. Since entering civil service at the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic in 2004, he has been involved in European and Euro-Atlantic security in various positions, including period as NATO Section Head, ESDP Section head, director of the Office of the State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence and also his advisor for defence policy and international security. Since July 2010 he has been director general for defence policy, international relations and legislation (defence policy director). He is also external expert of the Slovak Atlantic Commission.
