Mgr. František BUBLAN
Born in 1951. In 1976 he graduated at the Theological Faculty of Charles University in Prague. Then he was active as a cleric. As a result of his signing of the Charter 77 he was withheld the state consent for performing clerical activities in May 1977 and consequently accused of conspiring against the state. He worked as a driver until 1989. After the revolution in 1989 he entered the state services, first today’s BIS (Security Information Service), where he worked for 10 years, and in 2001 he was appointed the director of civilian intelligence (Foreign relations and information office). In 2004 he became the Minister of Interior Affairs of the Czech government. In 2006 he was elected a member of the House of Deputies of the Czech Parliament. Presently, he is the head of the Committe for Security in the House of Deputies.
