8th Conference of Security Management 2011

New trends in combating the security threats of the 21st century

This is the main topic of the 8th Conference of Security Management 2011 which will be held from 24th to 25th May 2011 in Hotel Pyramida in Prague. The organiser of this prestigious professional and social event is traditionally the Czech branch of ASIS International.

This year’s conference builds on the successful 2010 conference which discussed topics such as fraud prevention, fight against corruption, modern security technologies, counterfeits, professional training in security, airport security or the problem of personal data protection.

The program of the 8th year of Conference of Security Management focuses on the security threats of the 21st century and aims to assess the existing measures to tackle the so called new threats. The main topics include cyber terrorism and internet safety, impacts of the adoption of new legislation on the protection of critical infrastructure, the safety at airports and in underground railways or the harmonization of European policies in the area of personal data and information protection. The conference will also discuss the latest international and political issues, such as the security threats that arise from “Arab revolutions”. A part of the program will deal with the innovations in the field of security technologies and training of security professionals. The novelty of the Conference of Security Management will be the separately held and publicly accessible Security Expo. Those who are interested have the opportunity in Hotel Pyramida to present their products and projects that are concerned with security or security related issues.

As part of the two-day Conference, which will be held concurrently in three discussion panels, the results of the Security Manager 2011 a Security Project 2011 competitions will be announced and prize awards will be held during the evening ceremony.
