Historically biggest GLOBSEC conference will start on Wednesday

Several hundreds of key representatives from public, private, and academic spheres as well as renowned journalists from more than 40 countries will gather at the 6th annual GLOBSEC Bratislava Global Security Forum. Among others, seven ministers of foreign affairs and defence, European Commissioner Štefan Füle and Belarusian opposition leader Aliaksandr Milinkevich will contribute.

The discussions, taking place at the region’s leading foreign policy and security conference, will be broadcasted live at www.globsec.org. Topics will include Arab world uprisings, the EU in today’s world, NATO and transatlantic relations after the Lisbon summit, the problems of defence funding, the Eastern partnership program of the EU, the US-Russian relation two years after its reset and of course Belarus.

GLOBSEC 2011 is organised by the Slovak Atlantic Commission in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak republic, the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, the European Commission Representation in Slovakia and the International Visegrad Fund in the exclusive premises of the Kempinski Hotel River Park in Bratislava.
