Islam, Gender and Democratization in Indonesia

Association for International Affairs in cooperation with Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta holds a seminar on "Islam, Gender and Democratization in Indonesia." Both Czech and Indonesian experts will try to find answers to questions such as what impact the changes that are currently taking place in Indonesia have on its foreign policy, whether Islam and democracy exclude one another, what status women have in the Islamic societies or what role women play in Indonesian politics.
