The Maghreb in the Wake of the Arab Spring: Strategic Implications for Europe

Association for International Affairs holds an international conference on "The Maghreb in the Wake of the 'Arab Spring': Strategic Implications for Europe". The event will focus on the current security situation in the Maghreb. Special attention will be paid to the European Union’s attitudes to the transformation and integration processes in this vital region. The conference will also ponder the potential for an ‘experience-sharing’ process between the Maghreb and the Central and Eastern Europe which had already experienced the transformation from an authoritarian regime to a democratic one.
