The Year of the New Presidencies: The Visegrad Countries in the EU
Association for International Affairs in cooperation with Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung holds an international conference on "The Year of the New Presidencies: The Visegrad Countries in the EU". Representatives of public, academic as well as civil sphere from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia will discuss the positions and visions of the Visegrad countries within the European Union, not leaving the debate about current Eurozone crisis behind. Have the Central European countries been able to find their place among other 27 members of the Union? What formal and informal mechanisms, if any, have the Visegrad countries developed to follow their own goals? And how do they envisage future of the EU? Together, distinguished speakers will seek to answers those questions.
