Born in 1963. He is an assistant professor at the Centre for Security and Military Strategic Studies at the University of Defence. In 1985 he graduated from the Military College of Ground Forces in Vyškov and served in commanding positions until 1988. From 1988 to 1991, he attended postgraduate studies, a branch of study Military Intelligence. From 1991–2008 he served in various positions within Military Intelligence. From 2008 to 2010, he was a Defence Adviser at the Permanent Delegation of the Czech Republic to NATO HQ and the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic to EU in Brussels.
