Born in 1953. Member of the army between 1968 and 2002. Graduated from Military Academy Brno, in the field of engineering service of anti-aircraft missile forces in 1979. Specialized studies: Economy and Management in Situations of Crisis Management at VŠE Praha - in 1996, Problem of European Union at Military Academy Brno - in 2000, Security Policy and Defence Management at Military Academy Brno, Center for Defence Studies at the University of Aberdeen, and Center for Security Studies at the University of Gröningen - in 2000. He held technical and command positions at radar and anti-aircraft missile units of the air defence of the state, leading functions at military territorial administrative authorities, MoD, including the General Staff of Czech Army, including representative of the commander of anti-aircraft missile brigade PVOS, representative of the commissioner of the Czech government for the preparation of the reform of the armed forces of the Czech Republic. In 2002 to 2009 he worked as an advisor to several Deputy Ministers of Defence with a focus on military - technical and administrative issues. Currently working at the defence policy and strategy section of the MoD.
