Mgr. Iveta PTÁČNÍKOVÁ

Born in 1986. She graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (Political Science). From 2011 she is a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Hradec Kralove (Politics-African Studies), where she lectures the course New Social Movements and Conflicts in non-European regions. In her doctoral thesis she focuses on the development in African States in terms of the gender perspective. Currently she is studying at the Department of Gender Studies at the Charles University in Prague in the follow-up master programme of Gender Studies. In the framework of her vocational focus she is concerned with the issue of women in African societies from a gender perspective, as well as sexual violence in war and the Theory of Feminism in International Relations.
