PaedDr. Tomáš HÁK, Ph.D.

Born in 1961. He graduated from Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University in Prague in didactics of biology and sports. He completed his Ph.D. study in Applied and Landscape Ecology at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. Since 1997 he has lead an Indicator Unit at Charles University Environment Center; his research interest are the indicators of resource use and interpretation of results of indicators in social contexts. Albeit main areas of his research are environmental indicators and indices, he is also interested in environmental sustainability issues. He has taught at Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Science at Charles University in Prague. He is a member of Environmental Committee of the Academy of Sciences. He has been involved in several 7th FP projects (e.g. INDILINK: 2007–2010, BRAINPOoL: 2011–2014) as well as national projects. Currently, he leads the Environment Center´s project team working on Integrated assessment of global change impacts on environmental security of the Czech Republic (EnviSec).
