PhDr. Antonín RAŠEK, MG Ret.

Born in 1935. He graduated from Military School of Jana Žižka and infantry apprentice school. He served six years in the air force. He graduated from Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, in the field of Philosophy and History (1961). Then he became a military journalist and worked in social organizations of the army. His postgraduate studies focused on sociology. After August 1968 he was discharged from the army, and specialized in industrial sociology management as a researcher, lecturer and consultant. Between 1990-1992 he was a civil secretary of the Minister Defence for social and humanitarian affairs and in 1993 he became a director of the Institute for Strategic Studies. He cooperates with the Center for Security Policy CESES FSS UK. Author of 19 novels. He won many awards for his literary activity.
