PhDr. Miloš BALABÁN, Ph.D.
Born in 1962. Head of the Center for Security Policy at the Center for Social and Economic Strategies FSS UK. Specializes in the issues of global political, economic and security development and the Czech and European security policy. Between 2008-2009 he was a member of the European Security Research and Innovation Forum (ESRIF) workgroup “Foresight and Scenarios”. Member of editorial boards of magazines Vojenské rozhledy and The Science for Population Protection, member of the scientific board of the Director General of Fire Rescue Corps of the Czech Republic. Co-author of monographs “Chapters on Security” (2010) and “Non-Western Actors in World Security” (2010). Currently a manager of the project Trends, Risks and Scenarios of Security Development in the World, Europe and the Czech Republic - the Impact on Security Policy and Security System of Czech Republic, for the research, development and innovation project, governed by the Czech Ministry of Interior.
