RNDr. Petr ZEMAN
Born in 1947. He graduated in biology at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno. During normalization he was only allowed to take working class jobs at first, later he worked as a technician. He was among first sigratories to the Charter 77. From 1990 he was active in the newly formed Czech intelligence agencies - The Security Information Service and Office for Foreign Relations and Information. Since 2001 he has been a freelance consultant in the field of security, specialized namely on intelligence agencies, which are also the main topic of his occasional publications and lectures. He cooperates with the Faculty of Social Studies, Masaryk University, and the University of Defence. He is the editor and co-author of the publication Czech Security Terminology. He was awarded state decorations – Second Grade Medal For Meritorious Service (2002) and the Award of Jaroslav Janda (2003).
