Extraordinary award for the Obrana a strategie journal

The annual National Security Council Award ceremony took place in the Liechtenstein Palace in Prague, on 22 July 202. This award is given by the National Security Council to the teams and individuals in the primary and student categories for a significant contribution to the security policy of the Czech Republic. Based on the resolution of the National Security Council of 8 June 2020, the award in the primary category was granted to the editorial team of the Obrana a strategie journal (Defence and Strategy journal), published by the University of Defence in Brno. The award was given for active work in the security community, focusing on publications devoted to the development of science, research and education in the fields of defence and security. The award was presented by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš in the presence of Defence Minister Lubomír Metnar and other members of the National Security Council, Chief of the General Staff and his First Deputy, chiefs of intelligence services, high representatives of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, National Cyber and Information Security Authority, Ministries of Interior, Defence and Foreign Affairs and other major representatives of the state and the security community.

Journal Obrana a strategie has been indexed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education

Journal Obrana a strategie has been indexed by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MSHE) on the list of scientific journals recommended for authors to publish their articles.
The journal Obrana a strategiehas been qualified by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education in the "security studies" category. Thanks to this, Polish scientists who publish articles in your journal will receive 20 points for their scientific achievements which are necessary for the evaluation of scientists and universities in Poland. Each scientist should present at least 4 articles published in the MSHE-indexed scientific journals for every 4 years evaluation period. Current evaluation period ends on 31st December 2020 and the next one will start on 1st January 2021.
