Petr Martinovský was born in 1986 in Chrudim. Since 2005 he has studied security and strategic studies at the Faculty of Social Studies of Masaryk University. Currently, he is in the last year of master degree cycle. He focuses on environmental security, on threats connected with degradation of living environment and on the global climate changes and their impact. Recently, he has specialized on the threat of water scarcity in the world, including the Central European area. The author is a member of the editorial board of the http://www.sekuritaci.cz/, a student server dedicated to security issues.
