Tomasz Szatkowski (born 1978 Słupsk); MA in Law and graduate of Postgraduate Studies in National Security at the Institute of International Relations at Warsaw University; MA in War Studies at the Department of War Studies - King's College London (scholarship of the UK Foreign an Commonwealth Office and the MoD); Staff Officers Development program, organized by the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey; U.S. State Department Leadership Program at the field of Transatlantic Security. Worked both in private (law firm) and public sector. Most notably: since 2003 till 2005 a legal and national security secretary at the staff of one of the political groups at the Parliament of the Republic of Poland; in the years 2005-2006 as an adviser to the Minister Coordinator for special services worked on the reform of the intelligence sector; in 2006-2007, member of the Supervisory Board and in 2007-2008 vice chairman of Bumar - Polish national defence industry syndicate; since January 2009 he is a policy adviser (security and defence) at the European Parliament (ECR Group) and since July 2009 member of the Supervisory Board of the Polish Public Television (acting temporarily as the President and CEO in November-December 2009).
